About

The game

Draypferd is a single-player, first-person mecha sim in the MechWarrior and Starsiege lineage — offered as homage. You are a freelance pilot in a corporate war across the Sol system: build your machine part by part, take contracts, and fight over terrain that is fully destructible and stays destroyed. Craters are cover. Tunnels are tactics. The battlefield at minute twenty is a map of everything that happened.

When the machine breaks, you can climb out of it — repair a damaged section on foot, cut usable parts out of wrecks, and feel exactly how small you are next to the thing you pilot.

The name

The Draypferd is the pre-war industrial walker line that every mech in the setting descends from — tractors that went to war. Combat chassis still show the crane spines and tool cages of their ancestry. The game is named after the ancestral machine, not the weapon it became.

The operation

Draypferd is built by a solo developer (Aeturnia) directing AI-driven pipelines — code, art, and audio are fabricated from versioned spec files. A solo dev directs; the pipelines execute. The process is documented plainly on the devlog, including the failures: missed benchmarks and cut features are content here, not secrets.

Status

In development, pre-alpha. PC (Windows first). Single-player only, premium — no free-to-play, no microtransactions. Questions and conversation: the Discord.
